Chocolate Cake
2 cups flour (wheat or GF)
1 1/2 cup sugar
1/2 cup unsweetened cocoa
1/2 cup softened butter
1 cup water
3 eggs
1 1/4 t. baking powder
1 t. baking soda
1 t. vanilla
-Preheat oven to 350 degrees
-Combine all ingredients
-mix well on low speed
-beat on high for 2 minutes
-bake in a 13x9" cake pan for 30 to 40 minutes, or until center springs back when you press gently on it with a fork. Adjust baking time for different size pans.
Chocolate Frosting
1 stick butter
3 cups powdered sugar
2/3 cup unsweetened cocoa
1/3 cup milk
1 t. vanilla
-melt butter
-mix butter and cocoa
-add vanilla and mix in
-add in milk and powdered sugar, alternately in small amounts. Beat between each addition until smooth.
