As long as your lawn is not treated with pesticides or recently fertilized with chemicals (our lawn is "organic") it is okay to bring your guinea pigs out for some fresh clover and grass. They just love it. Some things to keep in mind:
-Make sure they have water.
-Make sure other animals can't get to them and they can't escape (make sure the cage rests on the ground etc.
-Try to put them in the shade so they don't get too hot.
-Don't forget to take them in when night falls!
-Be sure the temperature is warm. I am not an expert, but I make sure it is at least 68 degrees and not raining.
I am sure it is a welcome relief to the cage for an afternoon!
